At the NCLN LINKS 10, we joyfully jammed Professional Learning

We can create powerful professional learning programs that engage educators in reflective practice and that mirror authentic learning.  On Friday, educators from 13 campuses across Northern California met to discuss principles of effective professional learning.

Six principles of Powerful Professional Learning emerged out of our discussions:

  • “Lifelong Students of Teaching”
  • “Joy of Jamming”
  • “Learning while leading and following”
  • “Professional Learning is Equity”
  • “Structure and Safety”
  • “Community Building”
